A single steel coil can weigh many tons, and all of that weight is concentrated in a shape
designed to roll. An improperly secured coil is one of the most dangerous loads a truck can
carry — a real risk to the driver, your product, and everyone else on the highway. General freight
carriers rarely have the coil-specific equipment or training to handle this correctly. We do.
How we handle it
We transport coils using purpose-built coil racks and cradles that keep each coil stable, along
with securement methods matched to the coil’s weight, diameter, and orientation (eye-to-the-sky
or eye-to-the-side). Our drivers are trained specifically in coil loading and securement, so every
coil is chained, blocked, and braced to arrive exactly as it left — no shifting, no damage, no
surprises.
